A married couple find themselves entangled in a murder investigation.
While Hallmark is known for their predictable rom-coms, viewers still enjoy them and love to see a happy ending. It's a formula that works, but Hallmark has been trying to shake things up a bit. What is The Cases of Mystery Lane about?
When Alden (Paul Campbell) goes behind his wife’s back to take classes, in hopes of becoming a private investigator, a homework assignment entangles him in a murder investigation. Birdie (Aimee Garcia) just may hold the keys to solving the mystery, but Alden will have to come clean to find out. Only, Alden suspects that Birdie might be hiding secrets of her own.

Birdie Case (Aimee Garcia) is a bright, successful attorney. Her husband Alden is smart and charming, but his inability to settle on a career is causing strain in their marriage.

Aimee Garcia (Birdie Case)
Garcia is best known for her roles as quirky lab tech Ella Lopez on Lucifer and as Jamie Batista on Dexter. She most recently starred in Christmas with You on Netflix opposite Freddie Prinze, Jr.
Paul Campbell (Alden Case)
Campbell is a familiar face on Hallmark Channel. He most recently starred in Dating the Delaneys and new fan favorite Three Wise Men and a Baby, where he also served as a writer on the film. He also is credited with writing other Hallmark films including Moriah's Lighthouse, Christmas at Castle Hart, and Christmas by Starlight which he co-wrote and co-starred in with fellow actor Kimberley Sustad.
