Models come and go like a revolving door every year in the automotive industry. Ideas don’t pan out, tastes change, and car companies run out of time or money. There are tons of reasons for certain models to be retired, and this list contains plenty of them.
Newer cars and even much older models made to the exits this year. Some of them make us sad, while others make us shrug. And even though crossovers are such a hot commodity, there are plenty eliminated in 2019. Sedans and cars got the worst of it, but even a poorly conceived crossover can’t succeed in the highly competitive market we have today. Go ahead and click on the first slide to start the slideshow.
Vitalis: Meanwhile here's the real news on Trump: Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are officially in the crosshairs of the Trump administration, and they intend to go after them this year. While hobnobbing with other billionaires in Davos, Switzerland, Trump told them that sometime "before the end of the year" he and his administration would be cutting "entitlement programs." The billionaires, of course, thought that was just a fine thing. It's unlikely Trump will take these steps before the election on November 3rd, but even if he loses the election he could do significant damage to these programs after the election and before he leaves office on January 20. Medicare and Medicaid keep Americans alive and healthy. But the billionaires don't care. They just want their taxes cut even further.
