Carrie Underwood Stuns in Silver Jumpsuit During Weekend at the Racetrack

Jesus take the wheel—the race car wheel, that is. Carrie Underwood performed at the HyVee Indy Car Race Weekend, held at the Iowa Speedway on July 21-23.
The American Idol alum, 40, took the stage for a pre-race concert on Saturday afternoon, dressed in a short, futuristic-looking silver jumpsuit paired with a matching sparkling bandana and sparkling boots. She then posed next to a race car featuring an ad for her Sirius XM show Carrie's Country and shared a snap of the stylish pink car during the race.
The "Before He Cheats" singer shared photos from her day in Iowa on Instagram, captioned, "Had a blast today at the HyVee IndyCar Race Weekend! It was a hot one out there but was so much fun being a part of the action! Thanks for having us!!!"
On the same day as Underwood's performance, the race car was unveiled on the Meyer Shank Racing Instagram account, which was then re-shared by the country star.

On Sunday, the day of the second race, Ed Sheeran kickstarted the event by waving the green flag to commence the race. He also treated attendees to a post-race performance to close off the night. The Zac Brown Band instead served as the daytime pre-race performers for that day. Additionally, another American Idol alum got to sing at the event: 25-year-old Maddie Poppe, who performed the national anthem before the race.
