Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood's family is growing by several feet. Or rather, claws.

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the country singer took to her Instagram Story to share a dose of cuteness with her followers. "New additions to the farm fam!" Underwood captioned a photo of roughly eight baby chicks.

In March 2020, Underwood shared during an appearance on Rachel Ray that her family decided to start raising chickens so they can enjoy fresh eggs.

"The day they got there, I was like, 'Ladies, you just hit the jackpot. You're just gonna be our little pets and live here forever and live the good life,'" she said, per The Oklahoman. "Our ladies are happy ladies."

Underwood lives in Nashville, Tenn., with her retired hockey player husband, Mike Fisher, and their sons, Isaiah and Jacob. During an October 2020 interview with Today Parents, the mom-of-two explained that her boys pitch in around the farm, with Isaiah helping in the garden and both sons caring for their animals.

“We have chickens and they’ll go down and help us feed the chickens and collect the eggs,” she explained. “We’ll go down and feed our horses and go fishing.”

During a collaboration with Epic Gardening in February 2023, fans got a closer look at Underwood's farm. She showed off her greenhouse, orchard and chicken coop in the process. The coop featured white siding to match her home, a shingled roof and windows.

When Underwood and the two experts from Epic Gardening checked to see if any eggs were in the coop, they encountered a hen named Linda.

"That's Linda, she's working on it," the "Before He Cheats" songstress noted, before adding, "She's mean. I named her Linda because she's Linda Blair."

Although Linda might be a little cranky, it's clear Underwood's chickens—and their newest additions—are well cared for on her gorgeous, sprawling farm.
