Carrie Underwood’s New Instagram With Her Husband Is Prompting Fans To Celebrate

Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are celebrating 11 years of marriage.
To commemorate their special day, the country music singer shared a heartwarming selfie of her and Mike enjoying each other’s company. The Grammy-winning artist was all smiles in the candid pic, which she captioned: “Happy anniversary, babe! 11 years sure have flown by...here’s to many, many more! Love you!”
Right on cue, thousands of fans flocked to the Instagram comments section with celebratory messages and well wishes for Carrie and Mike. “Happy Anniversary to a wonderful, loving couple. 🍾🎉,” one person wrote. “Happy Anniversary to both of you!! 🥂🥂🥂,” another added. “Happy Anniversary. You’re both awesome and even better together ❤️,” a different fan said.
Mike also posted a sweet photo of their wedding day on his Instagram. The hockey pro wrote: “Happy anniversary @carrieunderwood hard to believe this was 11 years ago today! Here’s to many more with the best partner I could imagine!! #happyanniversary.”
Last year, the duo opened up about their marriage in a four-part short film series called Mike and Carrie: God & Country for the not-for-profit-organization I Am Second. "We learn from each other and have spirited discussions about things that we disagree on, but at the end of the day, we love each other very much," Carrie said in the premiere episode.
The American Idol alum and former NHL player first met back in the fall of 2008 on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. After meeting and staying in contact for several months — Carrie was based in Nashville and Mike was playing in Ottawa, Canada — their romance quickly blossomed when they shared a magical first kiss on New Year’s Eve in 2008. On July 10, 2010, the two tied the knot in front of family and friends in Georgia.
Now, more than a decade together, the couple have created a family of their own — two sons named Isaiah, 6, and Jacob 2.
