Carrie Underwood has no problem shutting down her haters, one tweet at a time.
The 35-year-old was forced to defend her music on Monday after Sport Illustrated producer Jessica Smetana shared on Twitter that she wasn’t a fan of the country singer’s new Saturday Night Football theme song, “Game On." Smetana first made the observation while responding to a video shared by NBC about commentator Chris Collinsworth’s “slide from the right."
I love that NBC has been reading everyone's Collinsworth slide tweets because it means they've also been reading all the tweets about how much we hate the new Carrie Underwood song

“I love that NBC has been reading everyone’s Collinsworth slide tweets because it means they’ve also been reading all the tweets about how much we hate the new Carrie Underwood song,” Smentana wrote on Sunday.
The country singer, of course, had the perfect response.
Hey, I know my music isn’t for everyone, but I love what I do and I love being a part of @SNFonNBC ! ?? I am one lucky lady! I also love women who build other women up...just saying...???? https://t.co/F4yuNGKj0M

“Hey, I know my music isn’t for everyone, but I love what I do and I love being a part of @SNFonNBC! I am one lucky lady!” she tweeted. And then, the kicker: “I also love women who build other women up …just saying…”
Clearly, she’s mastered the art of the polite clap back. The expectant mother even followed her initial tweet with another response centered around spreading kindness.
Today, let’s be positive. Let’s be NICE to each other. Let’s do something nice FOR someone else. Smile at a stranger. It’s the start of a new week! Today is precious! Don’t waste it! Sending love and cheer to you all!!! ?????? #LoveWins

Sorry that I dissed ‘Game On’ in my tweet about Cris Collinsworth’s slides. I didn’t mean to upset Carrie or her fans, and I'm all about supporting women too. I just miss ‘Waiting all day for Sunday Night.'

She continued the apology in another tweet, writing, “Sorry that I dissed ‘Game On’ in my tweet about Cris Collinsworth’s slides. I didn’t mean to upset Carrie or her fans, and I’m all about supporting women too I just missed ‘Waiting all day for Sunday Night.’”
According to Rolling Stone, Underwood has been preforming the SNF opener since taking over the gig from fellow country singer Faith Hill in 2013. She debuted the “Game On” this fall, replacing the long-running SNF opener “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.”
