Carrie Fisher's brother Todd clapped back at niece Billie Lourd amid ongoing family drama.

After Fisher's siblings–Todd and Joely–opened up about being snubbed by Lourd ahead of Fisher's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the American Horror Story star retorted, saying her aunt and uncle weren't invited because they "capitalized on [her] mother's death."

Now, Todd issued a statement via Entertainment Tonight responding to the matter and alleging that Lourd's claims are false. "I take issue with what she said on every level," he shared. "There was no money made on anything."

Todd added, "I did one 20/20 interview, and I didn't charge for that. I only did that because the pundits were making a big deal out of the fact that my mother died of a broken heart. And it was really annoying me because I didn't agree with that analysis."

He also explained why he wrote his memoir My Girls about his late sister and mother, Debbie Reynolds, who died a day after Fisher. "That book, it's an homage to them. And it's not about their death, it's about their life. There's less than one chapter about death."

Fisher died on December 27, 2016, from a combination of sleep apnea, atherosclerotic heart disease, and drug intake after suffering cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. The next day, her mother and fellow Hollywood icon Reynolds died of a brain hemorrhage caused by a stroke.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony honoring Fisher is being held today, March 4. It begins at 11:30 a.m. PT and will be streamed on the Walk of Fame's website. Lourd is reported to accept the star on her mother's behalf.
