The Hawaiian-born Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba made her first appearance on American television as one of In Living Color’s Fly Girls. At the Critics Choice Real TV Awards,Carrie Ann told The Sun that she and Fabien, who she broke up with once previously, were done for good this time.

Even so, she said, "I am happier than I have ever been. The pandemic was a good time to do introspection and work on things that weren't so great and change parts of myself and delve deeper."

"I am really settled. I am 54, and yes, I am single. To some people, that can be triggering, and even for myself, at points, it has been. But it is absolutely special because it is my life. I am making choices that feel really good to me."

Inaba made it Instagram official that she is dating Fabien Viteri when she posted a happy birthday message to her new love on September 9, 2020.

She wrote: “Happy birthday mi amor. Life is so much better with you in it. ❤️”

But there's more! On the on Sept. 21 episode of The Talk, she revealed that she had fallen in love and was in a committed relationship: “So, I met this man; he’s from my neighborhood, and we met, sort of, walking our dogs, and there’s more to the story … He’s older than I am, and he’s a wonderful human being. And now, I understand how a relationship can work. He’s been so supportive and a mature adult ‘cause maybe sometimes I’m not so that’s working really well.”

After announcing in May that the two had split, Carrie Ann Inaba appears to be back in a relationship with Fabien Viteri. On June 14, 2021, she shared this photo with the caption, "Sunday funday with my love. ❤️ except it’s Monday. ????????"

Inaba met Sloan, an accountant, through the eHarmony dating site in 2009. At that time, she told Access Hollywood that when she filled out the questionnaire, she wrote: “'You need to be sexy’ and ‘I love cats.’ He was the one they sent me, and it just felt familiar. [Looking at] his picture, I felt like I already knew him."

Sloan was a man for big romantic gestures, one of which was proposing to Inaba on camera on the March 31, 2011 episode of Live with Regis and Kelly. With violins playing in the background, Sloan got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Her answer was a definite, “Yes!”

But it wasn’t to be. The couple announced they had “amicably” called off their engagement in September 2012.

The former General Hospital actor proposed to Inaba on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at the same secluded beach cove where they had had their first date.

At that time, the DWTS judge told People, “Saturdays are special to us because our first date was on a Saturday and we have celebrated with a toast, a visit to a beach, special date, a motorcycle adventure, or a road trip on every Saturday since. So, on Saturday, we returned to the place of our first date and got engaged at the same place we shared our spontaneous and magical first date.”

Derringer proposed with a gorgeous, 3.68-carat ring by designer Jean Dousset and they toasted each other with a bottle of Aubert Chardonnay with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.

The engagement lasted nine months before the pair called off their wedding, which had been planned for July 18, 2017, in Hawaii.

Possibly Inaba's most publicized romance was her two-year relationship with DWTS pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev, who is 14 years her junior. The two first met while he was competing on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. They began dating in 2006 and stayed together until their breakup in November 2008 after close to three years together.

Calling the breakup amicable, Inaba told People, that Chigvintsev was “a fine gentleman. I have never gone out with somebody that grounded, always ready to talk it out. I’m very happy for him and the success he’s having.”

Inaba also briefly dated Tony Neiman in 2014-2015.
