Caroline Jones grew up near New York City, where she studied classical music and opera, but by high school she had fallen hard for traditional country. Recently she became the first female member of the Zac Brown Band, where she’s made her mark as a fiercely talented multi-instrumentalist. But she’s also developing a solo career and releasing a new album with a little help from one of her musical heroes.

And that a lot of the defense mechanisms that we develop over the course of our lives and when we're kids, they shoot you in the foot. The more that you try to have deep relationships as you get older because the more closed off you are, and the more arrogant you are, and the more defensive you are, like the less you can be there for the people who you really love and your family and the people that matter.
