She's not the only Emmy winner in the family.

Bill Hader is proud to have a very famous relative.

During the ninth season of PBS' Finding Your Roots, Carol Burnett found out she and Hader are distant cousins. While speaking to ET at the Barry finale premiere, Hader said the comedic legend got in touch with him.

"She emailed me and said, 'Hey, we're related.' And I went, 'What?,'" recalled the Barry star.

He said his kids, who are Annie fans, were surprised to be related to the musical's villain. "I'm like, 'We're all related to Ms. Hannigan' and they were like, 'Ah!,'" said Hader. "So it was really fun."

Since Burnett's email, the cousins have been "texting and emailing."

Hader also spoke to Access Hollywood about his distant cousin. A reporter relayed a message from Burnett, who'd been interviewed days prior, saying she sends her love.

"I'd love for my kids to meet her and we can have like a dinner or something. I think that would be really exciting," said Hader.

Burnett appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this month, where she shared that she's "very thrilled" to be related to Hader. She also revealed that Hader had a family reunion with the Burnett family, sans the actress.

Hilariously, 8 years ago, Hader shared he had a "huge crush" on Burnett in a featurette for the DVD release of lost episodes of The Carol Burnett Show. He also shared kind words on the TV icon, noting that she came off as "so charming, and genuine, and sweet" in her series.
