Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan is a mom of three now!

In her new Vogue cover story, the Maestro star revealed that she welcomed her third child with Mumford and Sons frontman Marcus Mumford.

She announced the news in a way any mother can relate to: stepping in for the interview with a poop-stained shirt after experiencing a diaper leak courtesy of her newborn. "Here I am, ready for Vogue," she joked, with her baby in tow.

In the profile, she displayed a calm demeanor amid the embarrassing situation, telling her baby, "I'm going to change you, and then we're going to find Mum another shirt…" Interviewer Maya Singer noted that Mulligan then went on a "quest" to find a new shirt in London's Covent Garden, finding a t-shirt at a souvenir shop in the popular tourist area.

Mulligan confirmed in January through her publicist that her children Evelyn, 8, and Wilfred, 6, were getting a younger sibling. It's mentioned in the cover story that the 38-year-old had given birth six weeks prior to the interview, which was conducted "as the threat of a SAG-AFTRA strike loomed," meaning she gave birth before the strike's start date, which was on July 14.

The actress did not share any details about her infant, including their gender and name.

Mulligan didn't share much about her life at home with her three kids, but she did mention that her daily routine as a mom is "very normal" with "school runs" and "Sunday lunches," though she admitted that there are "tricky logistics" that come with her demanding career.
