Cardi B Went Incognito in a Gold Squid Game -Like Mask on the AMAs Red Carpet

When Cardi B wasn't performing her hosting duties at the American Music Awards (AMAs), the rapper was making fashion statement after fashion statement with her many outfit changes (seven, to be exact).

She kicked off the evening in a very memorable Schiaparelli look that included a black off-the-shoulder gown with a dramatic sheer veil that attached at the sleeves and neckline of the dress. She accessorized with a gold-plated full face mask that gave us major Squid Game vibes, matching statement earrings, and long black gloves with gold fingernails built in.

After her head-turning red carpet appearance, Cardi slipped into several other looks that were equally as impressive — including a black asymmetric gown with an over-the-top head piece, a lime green dress with boob and belly button embellishments (which she paired with a butt-length mullet), and a plunging white gown with a statuesque hood. Shimmer and sequins covered the hooded portion of the dress, while the pleated skirt trailed along the floor and featured a super high leg slit.

The rapper let her clothes do most of the talking last night and kept her glam understated with each outfit, opting for a smoky eye, long lashes, and nude lips every time.

Aside from being the night's host, Cardi also found herself nominated in a couple of the award ceremony's categories, and ended up taking home the "Favorite Hip-Hop Song" honor for her infamous rap "Up." Last year, she made history as the first female rapper to win the category twice for "WAP" in 2020 and "Bodak Yellow" in 2018.
