Cardi B Swaps Out Her Signature Bombshell Style for a Surprising New Look
When you think of Cardi B’s style, athleisure hardly springs to mind. The New York rapper’s approach to dressing befits her outsize persona, best summed up as over-the-top and unapologetically glamorous. It’s quite frankly easier to imagine Cardi running to the grocery store in a completely outrageous get-up—something like the lilac, ostrich feather trimmed Christian Cowan suit that she wore for a performance at Paris Fashion Week last month or the full Moschino outfit that she slipped into on her birthday recently—than anything resembling a T-shirt and/or sweats.
And yet her latest outfit proves that from time to time she has a taste for more casual garb, too. She attended a Pandora event in New York City yesterday dressed in a gleaming, metallic silver tracksuit with purple accents that she finished off with a pair of chunky, colorful sneakers. While this is certainly more low-key than Cardi’s usual style hijinx—maybe due to her new busy mom schedule?—it’s still a high octane reimagining of the humble tracksuit. Leave it to Cardi to make a lazy day look like this shine.
