Cardi B Shared the Gorgeous Note Lizzo Wrote Her Amid Her Divorce From Offset

The lovefest between Cardi B and Lizzo continues. (Frankly, this friendship is getting me through 2020.)

On September 15, news broke that Cardi B officially filed for divorce from Offset, her husband of three years. According to TMZ, the rapper is even petitioning for primary physical custody of their daughter, Kulture.

Obviously, this is not an easy time for the “WAP” hitmaker, but Lizzo is here to make sure Cardi B feels supported. That very same day, the rapper took to Instagram Stories to show off the gorgeous bouquet of flowers and handwritten note that the “Truth Hurts” singer sent over.

“Isn’t Lizzo, like, the nicest person in the world?” Cardi says as she shows off the bouquet (and her stunning metallic purple nails). “Look what she sent me, she is just a beautiful ass person, I just love her so much. These are so pretty.”

“Omg thank you @lizzobeating,” Cardi also wrote over the clip.

Given the timing, it's possible the arrangement and letter had nothing to do with Cardi's latest bombshell, but the message is extremely appropriate. “Flowers for a flower! Congrats on all your success this summer—know you are loved and are love,” Lizzo wrote. “P.S. - I'm sending you something good this week. Love, Lizzo!”

Earlier this month Cardi B confirmed that Lizzo was a big part of her vision for the “WAP” music video despite her not being able to attend the shoot. “I’m cool with Lizzo and everything. Like, we’ve been sending DMs to each other and all that,” the rapper said on Hot 97, per NME. “But she was on vacation and she wasn’t in town. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh,’ because I had a whole vision about how I want to see Lizzo and everything.”

Of course, Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion were able to feature a number of artists and celebs, including Normani, Kylie Jenner, Rosalía, Rubi Rose, Sukihana, and Mulatto. “It was so important to me to include different women that are different races and come from different backgrounds, but are so powerful and influential,” Cardi B added.

Here's an idea: Fans have been begging Cardi and Megan to perform the summer hit at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. If they make it happen, Lizzo should be there to bring Cardi's original vision to life onstage.
