Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Just Dropped Their New Song, ‘WAP,’ and It’s Fire

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion dropped their highly anticipated collaboration, “WAP,” on Friday, August 7, and it’s incredible.

That’s a surprise to no one, of course. Cardi and Megan are both hip-hop legends at this point with consistent impact on the charts. “WAP” will no doubt skyrocket to the top of both the Billboard Hot 100 and your streaming playlists, and both of these queens deserve it.

I mean, just look at the single cover. It literally screams, “platinum-selling single that your fave could never do”:

And that it is. Listen to the song for yourself, below:

Unsurprisingly, Cardi B’s and Megan Thee Stallion’s fans are raving about the new track (and video) on social media:

There were, however, some questions about that Kylie Jenner cameo:

This is an important release for Megan, as it’s her first since being shot on Sunday, July 12. She suffered injuries to her feet but is expected to make a full recovery. Get more information on the incident here. Megan opened up about the experience on Instagram Live on July 27. “I was shot in both of my feet, and I had to get surgery to get the shit taken out—to get the bullets taken out. It was super scary. Oh, Lord, I didn’t think I was gonna cry,” she said. “But yeah, I had to get surgery. It was super scary. It was just the worst experience of my life, and it’s not funny. It’s nothing to joke about. It was nothing for y’all to start going and making up fake stories about. I didn’t put my hands on nobody. I didn’t deserve to get shot. I didn’t do shit. And thank God that the bullets didn’t touch bones—they didn’t break tendons. I know my mama, my daddy, my granny had to be looking out for me with that one because where the bullets hit at, it missed everything.”

Prior to this, she gave a statement on her Instagram feed.

“I was never arrested,” she wrote. “This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”
