Cardi B’s Makeup Artist Shared Her Foundation Beauty Routine

Finding the perfect foundation match can be downright difficult. Makeup experts have given us plenty of tips in the past, but it can be a struggle to find your makeup soulmate. Luckily, Cardi B's makeup artist shared how she uses one part of the body to find foundation hues that fit.

In an interview with Glamour UK, Erika La Pearl revealed some of the "Bodak Yellow" rappers makeup secrets. Along with always prepping the skin before makeup application, Erika also relies on one pretty genius process for finding the seemingly illusive perfect foundation match.

According to Erika, we should not be using our face as a means of selecting a foundation color."I find that looking at the color of your chest instead of your face will help you find a better color match for foundation," she said. As for her other beauty secrets, Erika also said that you should be using silicone base primers, and she believes applying your face makeup with a sponge makes the process a lot easier.

As for what foundation Cardi B uses, Erika said that she prefers EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear in Shade 8.0 foundation. "It’s Cardi’s perfect match and it goes on smoothly while blending seamlessly into the skin," she said. When it comes to the rest of Cardi's cosmetic bag, Erika uses Delete Fluide Concealer to highlight the rapper's eyes, EX1 blusher in “Pretty in Peach" to get glowing cheeks, and EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Compact Powder to keep the look lasting throughout the day.
