Cardi B is feeling the pressure. After her first studio album, “Invasion of Privacy,” debuted at No. 1, went triple platinum and earned her a Grammy, she has been wary to release the next project.

“There is definitely a lot of pressure, which is why I haven’t put out the second album. I haven’t rushed it,” she told FN on set of her exclusive cover shoot in celebration of her upcoming Reebok collab. “Everybody is waiting for that one little mistake. Everybody is dying to say, ‘Her album is trash, her first one is better.’ I have to play it good and make sure everyone likes it and make sure it comes with sick everything. Just the whole roll out has to be sickening.”

Fans have been patiently waiting. In the meantime, however, Cardi has been still climbing the charts. In March, “Invasion of Privacy” officially made history as it entered its 100th week on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the longest-charting debut studio album from a female rapper in history. Then there’s her latest single, “WAP,” the controversial hit featuring Megan Thee Stallion. In its first week of release in August, it drew 93 million U.S. streams within six days.

So what can fans expect from the new album?

“The second album is going to be good,” said Cardi B. “At the end of the day, it’s up to the audience to judge. They are the ones listening to it. If I do a song, I’m going to always like the song because I’m doing it.”

The rapper-turned-designer is steadfast in establishing herself as a power player, not only in music but also in the fashion industry.

On Friday, Nov. 13, her first-ever shoe collection in partnernship with Reebok launches. The line has been in the works for nearly a year, and it is Cardi’s take on the classic Club C silhouette. She was heavily involved in the line, which features two styles — the Club C Cardi ($100) and the Cardi Coated Club C Double ($80) — in three different colorways that are available in both women’s and children’s sizing.

“I can go to sleep with the No. 1 record, but I’m going to sleep and thinking, ‘I need my other album to go No. 1.’ My sneaker sold out so fast; I need my next sneaker to sell out. I always wonder if I’m going to be satisfied,” she said in FN’s recent cover story. “I’m such an ambitious person. I feel like I lost so much. Now that I’m winning, it’s a very addicting feeling.”
