Cardi B’s Grammys 2018 Interview With Giuliana Rancic Was “Painfully Awkward”

Before the 2018 Grammys started, rapper Cardi B rolled through the red carpet for some interviews to talk about her several nominations and what music she's been working on. Cardi was nominated for two awards at the annual show, including "Best Rap Performance" and "Best Rap Song" for her viral hit "Bodak Yellow." But when she stopped by to chat with E!'s Giuliana Rancic, viewers couldn't help but point out that the interaction felt a little uncomfortable.

Giuliana asked Cardi how she was doing to which she responded, "I'm feeling good. I'm feeling nervous, overwhelmed, everything. Butterflies in my stomach and vagina." Some people thought that it appeared Giuliana was surprised by the fact that Cardi B used the word "vagina" while being interviewed.

The E! host also brought up her track Nicki Minaj and Migos, "Motorsport." In the song, Cardi raps when rumors start making the rounds when you're a celeb. Her lines include, "You heard she gon' do what from who? / That's not a reliable source, no." But when bringing up the song, Giuliana seemingly struggled with remembering the line, which people on Twitter were quick to but on blast.

One person tweeted, "Giuliana Rancic just interviewed Cardi B on the E red carpet and it was painfully awkward 😅. She didn’t know what to ask and it was obvious she was ‘out of the loop.'" Another person wrote, "Giuliana trying to remember the lyrics to "Motorsport" live on TV has me CRYING. Y'all." Some thought it was funny, meanwhile, others thought that the entire exchange was "cringey."
