Cardi B Is Back to Your Regularly-Programmed Red-Carpet Slayage at the 2018 MTV VMAs
Cardi B, current queen of everything, arrived at the 2018 MTV VMAs in New York City on Monday night ready to slay.
This was Cardi's first official red carpet appearance since giving birth to daughter Kulture in July, and fans were highly anticipating her look. She opted for a body-hugging, asymmetrical dress by Nicolas Jebran (a designer she's previously worn, to fiancé Offset's birthday). She accessorized with Alexander Acosta heels and Lorraine Schwartz emeralds—200 carats' worth, to be precise.
She wore her hair in a pixie, which gave off some pretty solid throw-back Hallie Berry vibes. RIP to all of us.
On Instagram, Cardi B shared a shot of her VMAs look, captioned: "K mom".
Cardi B will be opening the show, but she won't be performing. Fans will have to wait a while before seeing her on stage again: Just three weeks ago, She shared with her fans that she would be pulling out of her planned performances on Bruno Mars‘ 24K Magic World Tour to instead spend time with her daughter.
Fans will definitely spot her on screen a few more times tonight, though: Cardi's up for a whopping 10 different awards.
