This Cardboard Box Hack Will Help You Pack Longer Items Like Your Yoga Mat
Whether you’re moving or need to put a few items in storage, it’s not always possible to fit everything you want into the same size boxes. Thankfully, there’s a super easy hack that allows you to make a cardboard box longer if necessary.
The TikTok account @ailecec_anna shared the life-changing hack in one quick video. To start, the TikToker shows what seems to be a rolled up rug or bolt of fabric that doesn’t quite fit in the rectangle box she has on hand. To make it fit, she draws lines in the center of the shorter flaps on the top and bottom of the cardboard box. She then cuts down the lines using scissors. Easy, right? All that’s left to do is fold every flap over each other and tape them up.
This is the TikTok user’s first video on the platform, and people are freaking out about it. “She posted one video and it changed lives.....she's the ultimate in efficiency,” one person commented. “Show this to Amazon!!! They be wasting a lot of boxes,” another person wrote. Others talked about how it must be some kind of magic and how it’s super satisfying to watch.
The next time you need to pack up an old rug that you don’t want to throw away quite yet, or your yoga mat, or a tall lamp, don’t go looking for a different size box. Simply use this hack!
