Cara Delevingne Has a New Tattoo with a Heavy Meaning

The model and actress says it’s about re-invention.

Cara Delevingne has added a new tattoo to her growing collection. The model and actor displayed the new ink—a snake which starts at the edge of her palm and wraps around to her middle finger—at an event in London on Wednesday. Delevingne told a camera crew from The Sun that the tattoo has a deep meaning. "At the end of it, it says 'feral,' because I think I am, and it's about re-invention, shedding of old skin, new beginnings, new life."

Artist Dr. Woo posted a photo of his work on Instagram, with the appropriate snake emoji as a caption. But Delevingne’s description of the tattoo seems to hint at something more. In September, The Sun first reported that she and her then-girlfriend, Annie Clark (who goes by St. Vincent), had split. Now, St. Vincent has been seen at events with actress Kristen Stewart.

This addition of her new body art and the mention of “shedding old skin” seems to imply that Delevingne has done some moving on of her own.
