Cara Delevingne is back at the Met Gala.

One year after she debuted a jaw-dropping Dior Haute Couture ensemble on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the model arrived at fashion's biggest night in an edgy black-and-white look which is making it to the top of "best dressed" lists everywhere.

The outfit consisted of a breezy white high-low dress and black leather... shall we call them leg gloves? The collared dress was mini at the front and featured a plunging neckline; at the back it included a long train.

Delevingne paired the piece with sleek black heeled sandals accented by the unique leg accessories, fingerless black leather gloves, and layers of silver jewelry—a long cross necklace and chunky rings on every finger.

She went full punk rock with her glam—a look Karl Lagerfeld would have adored—wearing dark, smoky eye makeup, a nude lip, and a messy bleach blonde hairdo.

Delevingne has long had a relationship with Chanel, and was close with the house's late creative director; she famously walked in Lagerfeld's final Chanel show in 2019, two weeks following his passing, and last year debuted a collection in collaboration with the Karl Lagerfeld brand.

Named Cara Loves Karl, the collection features a mix of classic, perfectly tailored staples—both ready-to-wear and accessories. "I’ve never understood how we can define clothing with a gender," Delevingne said of the drop in an interview. "It was important to me that the collection not be just unisex, but genderless." Pieces come in an array of black, navy, and white hues—a very Lagerfeld-esque color palette.
