South Africa has been named the Best Country and Cape Town has been named the Best City in the World by The Telegraph Travel Awards 2023. The position reflects South Africa’s allure and lasting impact on travelers in these awards, chosen by 27,000 dedicated readers.

The Telegraph Travel Awards forum honors exceptional travel experiences and memorable destinations. Every year, the publication hosts the Telegraph Travel Awards, which honor cities, hotels, airlines, and cruise lines, among other things.

Cape Town has been called the Mother City because of its long history and widespread acclaim as a tourist destination. As such, the city has a reputation for its welcoming nature that attracts travelers from all over the world.
