Pizza doesn't have to be expensive in order to be good — and neither does mascara.

While there are a ton of luxury options out there, certain budget mascaras work just as good (if not better) than fancy ones — and I'm about to prove it to you.

Badder BOOM! Au Natural Volumzing Mascara from Uoma By Sharon C not only has a name that matches the results, but a tube of it is just $8 and available at Walmart.

This mascara is from Uoma Beauty founder Sharon Chuter's second brand, which aims to be an affordable line of clean makeup and skin prep products. The vegan, cruelty-free formula promises maximum volume in one swipe, and it's infused with a blend of nourishing castor seed, argan, and kalahari melon oils to condition lashes so they stay crunch-free. The thick brush also has tightly packed bristles to ensure no lash gets missed.

And spoiler alert: None do.

For me, this mascara was love at first swipe, with the volume rivaling my favorite formula from a luxury designer brand.

If you want an extra bold finish, you can layer it without it flaking or clumping your lashes together. Another major selling point? The formula isn't too wet when you apply it, so it's less likely to smudge.

While Badder BOOM! isn't advertised as being waterproof, you don't have to worry about this mascara running or smudging if you find yourself crying, sweating, caught in the rain — or all of the above. The first time I wore this mascara was running errands on a very humid 90 degree day in New York. My walk to the subway made me so sweaty, even my eyelids were moist. Oh, I also got caught in a downpour when I was heading home.

But miraculously, my mascara did not budge.

The dramatic results, long-wear formula, and affordable price point are usually the recipe for viral TikTok beauty products. Yet somehow, it seems like Gen Z is missing out on Uoma By Sharon C's mascara, because it hasn't popped up on my "For You" page when I've been doing my usual TikTok lurking.

But, the one upside to getting in on a good mascara before beauty TikTok? I'll always be able to find it in stock. At least for now.
