Candy Corn Pizza Goes Viral, and the Internet Can't Handle It

The ultimate frankenfood.

Look, I don't mean to be hyperbolic (I do), but trust me when I say that candy corn is quite possibly the biggest possible affront to the world's best food group. (No disrespect meant if you're one of those people who love the controversial kernels, but let's talk because I have a lot of questions for you.) Whatever your opinions on the waxy pellets of sugary doom, I'm pretty sure that we can agree on this: candy corn most certainly does not belong on pizza.

At least, I thought we could agree on that fact, before I saw these photos of a cheese pie that was subjected to broiled and melted candy corn. Thrillist reports that someone apparently had a vendetta against pizza — and sir, what did pizza ever do to you?! — and decided to cover it in candy corn kernels. Then again, give the "Tis the season my dudes" that served as the tweet's commentary, it's highly likely that poster was trolling the internet. Still, I stand pretty firm in my belief that the pizza did not deserve to go this way. No pizza deserves this, not even the kind with pineapple on it.

It seems the rest of the internet agrees. At publish time, nearly 3,000 people have responded to the original tweet with their horror and concern. "Cursed timeline. Cursed website. Cursed life. I'm not the only one who'll suffer this," one person wrote, while others were more preoccupied with how the ultimate frankenfood actually... uh, tasted. (If you would take a bite of this, you are far braver than I am.)

As for DiGiorno, they weighed in with a very succinct "Tis the no." So we know that even if this pizza isn't delivery, it's still not DiGiorno.
