Whether they’re hanging on your tree or being stirred in your hot chocolate, candy canes are incorporated into the holiday season in one way or another. Starbucks is jumping on the peppermint train (although not officially!) with the Candy Cane Frappuccino.

If you’ve been a Starbucks fan for years now, you might remember that the coffee chain had the Candy Cane Frappuccino on its real menu years ago. There were even red-and-white-striped cups to go along with the frozen beverage. Sadly, it’s not one of the drinks making a 2020 comeback, but you can still order it with a little help from your barista.

The Candy Cane Frappuccino is super simple to order, so no worries about getting a dirty look from the line of people standing behind you. Order a Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino, which is made of a blend of vanilla bean, milk, and ice, and ask for peppermint syrup mixed in. For a tall, go with one pump, one and a half for a grande, and two for a venti. Of course, if you like a stronger peppermint flavor, you can always alter the syrup amount. Your drink will be complete with whipped cream, but you might want to ask for the festive holiday sugar sparkles and crispy white pearl toppings on top that you can find on a Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino.

To take it a step further, you can customize the Candy Cane Frappuccino further by adding mocha sauce or strawberry puree to the mix for another layer of flavor. It’s almost like we’re reimagining the Peppermint Mocha!
