Candide Thovex Is An Ageless Wonder

French professional skier and filmmaker Candide Thovex was born in 1982, making him 41 this year.

Thovex is still smooth as butter, and he released this absolutely all thrills, zero frills park edit yesterday, featuring back-to-back-to-back tricks set to an understated percussion track.

In other words, Thovex has still got it.

Remember how eleven years ago during an interview about his latest movie premiere, Few Words, Candide expressed interest in getting back into park skiing?

Thovex said, "I really want to get back into park skiing, because I haven’t really done it since my back injury. I just want to see how far I can get!"

As Thovex rips around the mountain on his own CANDIDE Skis, it seems like that goal is going well. Really well, even.

The BC 111s, as depicted in the video, are freeride skis designed to take into the backcountry, and Candide Thovex indeed shows them in the park and on bumpier terrain, speeding and styling through both with fluidity.

On the topic of timelessness, Mike Douglas, the godfather of freeskiing and the creator of the D-spin, is still sending it in his forties.

Watch Mike Douglas in Fountain of Youth below.

Mike D proves it's possible, and if Thovex is stomping big airs and hitting rails at 41, we can't wait to see what he's trying at 42.
