'Reindeer in Here' is based on Adam Reed's children's book of the same name.

There’s nothing like being proud of being your true self. As Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

That’s the great message behind Adam Reed’s wildly successful children’s book Reindeer in Here. The book centers around Blizzard (Blizz), a young reindeer living in the North Pole who has one antler that is significantly smaller than the other. The book has won 12 major awards, including Creative Child magazine’s Book of the Year, a gold Mom’s Choice Award and the prestigious National Parenting Center seal of approval.

This holiday season the beloved Blizzard gets animated! In Reindeer in Here, Blizzard and friends help save the future of Christmas. The one-hour heartwarming comedy-adventure special, on the CBS Television Network, premieres Nov. 29 at 9 pm, ET/PT, immediately following the holiday classic Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. The special will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

“As Blizzard tells [his friend] Theo, ‘don’t hide what makes you unique,’ and this joyful hour of television, meant for the whole family, celebrates just that,” says Reed, who is the show’s executive producer and creator. “Reindeer In Here is a story that encourages not only accepting our differences, but celebrating them. It’s a story filled with laughter, joy, friendship and heart that we hope will join the list of beloved holiday classics families watch together year after magical year.”

And to give the special a seal of approval: the feel-good Christmas queen Candace Cameron Bure is lending her voice to the character Pinky, an all-pink reindeer.

"It's been a huge dream of mine for a very long time to be in something animated that's very special," Bure said during a panel promoting the project. "And it was so fitting for my first animated movie to be in a Christmas one. So that was very exciting for me."
