Canada Goose Updates Its Glacier Trail Sneaker With the Help From Surgeon
Canada Goose has teamed up with L.A.-based shoe design collective, Surgeon, for an updated take on the outerwear company’s Glacier Trail sneaker.
According to Surgeon, the updated style was inspired by exploration and vintage outdoor gear while also nodding to the colors, patterns and styles from the ‘90s.

The updated Canada Goose x Surgeon Glacier Trail sneaker features an upper with 3M webbing detailing along with quilted padded materials on the instep as a nod to the brand’s puffer jackets. A deep olive ripstop nylon wraps the sneaker, displaying a tonal topographic embroidery, along with dual branding hits bring Surgeon’s inspiration to life.
“Nature has always played a large role in my wellbeing and is a constant inspiration throughout our design process,” Dominic “The Surgeon” Ciambrone, founder and creative director of Surgeon, said in a statement. “With Canada Goose venturing into footwear, it was exciting to repurpose their signature materials onto a sneaker and have fun with the design.”
Penny Brook, chief marketing and experience officer at Canada Goose, added that she’s proud to bring this collaboration to life. “We’re always striving to bring our community exciting new partnerships with of-the-moment designers and could not be happier with the latest installment we’ve brought to life with Surgeon,” Brook said.
Consumers can purchase a pair of limited-edition Canada Goose x Surgeon Glacier Trail sneakers online at Surgeon.com for a limited time only, while quantities last.
Bespoke pairs will also be made available through an auction on biddingforgood.com from Nov. 4 – Nov. 17. All proceeds will go to Polar Bears International, which helps to secure a future for polar bears across the arctic.
This collaboration comes as Canada Goose further invests in its footwear category. Canada Goose footwear first appeared in late 2021 with two boot styles. At the time, this expansion was years in the making, beginning with the company’s acquisition of Baffin in 2018.
In July, Canada Goose expanded its footwear range once more with the launch of the Glacier Trail sneakers in both low and high-top versions.
