Many ghost aficionados in St. Louis are well acquainted with the story of the Lemp family. The Lemp mansion, where the family who ran the once wildly successful William J. Lemp Brewing Co. resided, was where four members of the Lemp family died by suicide. Now it is believed the family haunts the home to this day.

The St. Louis Paranormal Research Society ran a haunted Lemp neighborhood walking tour on Wednesday night and allegedly documented the infamous “lady in white.”

Shared on its Facebook post, the group wrote: “This apparition was captured at the top of the Lemp Mansion’s Main Staircase. At the time the picture was taken, the photographer said nobody was standing … at the top of the stairs.”

Many were quick to share their own spooky experiences in the house. “I know this place is haunted. Been there a number of times and even before they did the remodeling. Been there on tour with a paranormal team and I had some experiences. … Go for yourself and then tell me it is not haunted,” one person wrote.

One woman wrote: “I got married there and had the reception at the end of the staircase to the right in that room. A lot of my nieces and nephews who are not that young were exploring the house and several of them came running back into my room screaming about they saw a lady in white … the marriage lasted two and a half months and it was annulled!”

However, the photo may not be as legitimate as some wish it to be. A person who saw St. Louis news station KTVI’s story about the picture sent the station the following message: “Hello! My name is Angie Sebben Frick and I am an actor that performs at Lemp. This lady in white … well I am 99% sure … are my fellow Jest Murder Mystery actors that this is yet another photo of me. It was taken on a night I was performing. It’s not the first time it happened to me. I must have a ghostly way about me. Just wanted to let you know. And hey — come see me on Saturday at the Lemp. Perhaps I can photobomb another photo!!”

Frick mentions that it is not the first time this mistake has happened. She confirmed she was the ghostly presence in this photo shared on Instagram.
