Camila Mendes Teases Veronica Lodge's "Wednesday Addams" Outfit Ahead of "Riverdale" Season 2

Camila Mendes has capably proven that her portrayal of Veronica Lodge on the CW's Riverdale can rock throwback outfits and modern pearls alike. But now it seems that things might be getting a little... kookier when Riverdale returns for season two on October 11. As in, creepier, kookier, and altogether ookier.

On September 26, the actress posted a selfie from the show's Vancouver set in a white blouse, black vest, and a coordinating bowtie. "Veronica Lodge or Wednesday Addams 🤔," she captioned the look. And while her hair wasn't tied back in braids like the daughter of the infamous Addams Family, you do have to admit that her outfit bears a striking resemblance to the character made famous by Christina Ricci.

We don't know if this means that the show's second season will feature a shoutout to the 1991 movie, but it wouldn't be much of a stretch if it does. After all, this is the show that cast '80s icon Molly Ringwald and '90s heartthrob Luke Perry as Archie's parents, among other major nostalgia moments. What's more, we could totally see Mark Consuelos and Marisol Nichols, who play Hiram and Hermione Lodge, dressing up as Gomez and Morticia Addams. Could you imagine trick-or-treating in Riverdale? With a new bad guy potentially on the loose, that could make for an extremely mysterious and spooky episode indeed.
