Camila Mendes Shared Her Creative Way to Hide Acne

Camila Mendes has found the most creative way ever to hide her zits on Instagram, and the method is totally ingenious.

The Riverdale star posted a photo to her Instagram Story with her hand and bangs artfully posed over her forehead with the caption, "Why use photoshop when you can find creative ways of hiding your pimple." Though we're guessing Camila's blemish is playing a game of hide and seek underneath her hair flip — we can't be totally sure. Thanks to her clever hack, it's completely invisible.

Cami isn't the first celeb to take creative measures in dealing with acne on the 'gram. Bella Thorne recently revealed that she highlights her freckles as a way of drawing attention away from her breakouts, and beauty blogger WorkingWithMonoloids adorably uses heart stickers to cover her pimples, turning her face into a work of art.

To avoid getting pimples in the first place — not an easy feat when you spend most of your days in Veronica Lodge’s heavy stage makeup — Camila relies on a stacked skincare routine and regular treatments. “When I’m filming a lot I try to get [facials] once every two weeks because I wear so much makeup on set and it’s just getting caked on,” she recently revealed, also noting that she often regularly turns to microdermabrasion for a little extra oomph. “I do it to just kind of exfoliate and then I can see all the makeup that’s been stuck into my pores. So that helps a lot!”

While plenty of celebs use Instagram as a way of showing off their skin concerns (case in point: Camila's Riverdale bestie, Lili Reinhart, who uses her feed as a parade of pimple positivity), not everyone is comfortable putting their zits on display — and that's totally ok. For those moments, thanks to Camila, we now have the art of “pimple posing.”
