Camila Mendes Posted Her Ripped Jeans Wardrobe Malfunction to Instagram
Camila Mendes experienced a slight wardrobe malfunction on Tuesday, but true to form, she totally owned it. On Instagram, she posted the evidence with a hysterical caption. Writing, “Abandon hope all ye Brazilian booties who enter these jeans 🍑 #rip,” she showed off a picture of the backside of her jeans, revealing two rips right below her butt.
Though it’s unclear how exactly this wardrobe malfunction occurred (she’s outside, ruling out the possibility of an overly enthusiastic getting-dressed routine), it seems as though this newly ventilated style might have happened while on the go. In a day and age in which Instagram profiles are criticized for being an idealized version of a person's world, it’s refreshing when individuals use the platform to reveal real things that happen to them, whether it’s a message of body positivity or a would-be-embarrassing wardrobe malfunction photo and making light of the issue.
Though we assume that these sliced jeans are no longer in rotation, who knows: This past year has introduced us to some of the strangest trends in denim in a long time, so she might just keep sporting this naturally distressed style and call it fashion. From clear-knee jeans to ones that zip in two pieces, rips right below each cheek are not that far off.
