Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, and More "Riverdale" Stars Celebrate Charles Melton's Birthday
It’s crystal clear that the Riverdale cast has bonded both on and off the screen. They’re constantly Instagramming each other (true works of art TBH), and they’ve even been known to take vacations together when they’re not filming. Needless to say, this squad goes all out for birthdays — as recently proven by how the entire cast teamed up on social media to celebrate Charles Melton turning 28 on Friday, January 4.
Of course, Charles’s gf Camila Mendes was one of the first to make a celebratory post, complete with an adorable photo of the couple from their South Korea trip, writing: “I will always protect you.” (For his part, Charles acknowledged his big day with a similar photo, simply noting: “It’s my birthday.”)
In addition to the love letter (or love ‘gram, as it would seem) from Cami, Charles received plenty of platonic — and LOL-worthy — wishes from the rest of his cast mates. “Happy birthday to my favorite jawline,” Cole Sprouse wrote on his Instagram Story. “Proud of the huge steps you’ve taken this year.” KJ Apa shared a series of photos of the actor, adding “Love ya, bro” across one of the pics. Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch also got in on the birthday celebrations — with plenty of hilarity to spare.
It sure seems like the Riverdale squad has the best time together, whether they’re hanging out IRL or just being silly on social media. Here’s hoping we get to see some snaps from Charles’s birthday party (because you know there’s going to be one — and, knowing this crew, it’s bound to be epic).
