Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes Thought They’d Have a Summer Fling. Now It’s Becoming More
Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes made their summer romance as public as possible when they were photographed kissing in the ocean and in a pool in Miami Beach yesterday. Things aren't slowing down, and their relationship is turning into far more than they imagined it would, Entertainment Tonight is reporting.
The outlet was told by a source that at first, they saw their romance as a short-term thing. "Shawn and Camila originally were just enjoying spending time together and having a summer fling," the source said. "Camila had just got out of a relationship and Shawn was in the middle of a massive tour." But then they caught feelings, the source added. "Shawn and Camila have really fallen for one another."
Cabello ended her relationship of a year and a half with relationship coach Matthew Hussey in June. A source explained to The Sun that “Camila’s relationship with Matthew had run its course, and they decided to break up about a fortnight ago. It was a mutual decision to end things. But they have spent a lot of time together over the last year and a half and want to stay friends despite going their own way."
That source acknowledged then that yeah, the breakup was going to spark Cabello-Mendes romance rumors. "This is of course going to fuel rumors that she and Shawn have become more than just pals though.”
E! reported earlier this month that Cabello and Mendes' romance is moving pretty quickly. "The timing wasn't right before but it is right right now," the outlet's source said. "They are going for it without holding back. This step in their relationship is exciting for them both. They haven't wanted to be apart at all. It's 24/7 and all out at this point."
