Camila Cabello Attends Shawn Mendes's Concert

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes should consider covering “Summer Lovin’” from Grease for their next duet, given all these rumors about their alleged relationship swirling around this season. Now, Camila is adding more fuel to the fire with — what else — Instagram Stories. Are they the modern-day Danny and Sandy? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Camila recently attended one of Shawn’s tour stops and posted a few Instagram Stories of her duet partner. It was one specific emoji that gave fans pause; Camila wrote, “@shawnmendes you couldn’t be more amazing. Wow” on one Story slide and added a red heart emoji, which seems just a bit more romantically-inclined than some of the other emojis she could have chosen. On another slide, she wrote, “You’re unreal.” Hey, we have to agree; Shawn is pretty amazing.

Some fans, however, are wondering if Camila and Shawn might take the stage together at one of his tour stops in order to perform a live rendition of “Señorita.” The theory is definitely a good one, and we have a feeling the internet (or at least social media) would break if it were to happen.

While Instagram Stories are definitely not tangible proof of a relationship, the two musicians have given us a lot to think about lately. The two are old friends who have collaborated in the past with their song “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” They’ve hung out at award shows with Taylor Swift, and Camila has publicly praised Shawn’s work and supported her friend on social media in the past. The pair also recently dropped a very steamy video for their new duet, “Señorita,” which really sparked the dating rumors given their intense chemistry in the video. (Seriously, have you seen it? Camila and Shawn took things one step further when they were spotted holding hands on the 4th of July and possibly cozying up at a pool party. Of course, friends can hold hands, and we shouldn’t jump to conclusions about a possible relationship between the two; if Shawn and Camila are indeed dating, they’ll let us know. Until then, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any more hints … and listening to “Señorita” on repeat.
