Babies seem to be on Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden's minds.

A source for Us Weekly said that the couple are "looking into" options for expanding their family of three. Diaz and Madden welcomed their first child, a baby girl who they named Raddix, via surrogacy back in 2019.

"Cameron and Benji have discussed having another child and have even been looking into surrogate options for a while now," the source told the outlet. "Benji always wanted a big family, and Cameron didn’t need to be persuaded after the arrival of their daughter.”"

If they do choose to go down the surrogacy route again, the two are reportedly hoping for a boy.

"They would love a boy, of course, but just want a healthy baby," the insider continued. "The surrogacy with their daughter was something they had a lot of doubts about going in. It turned out to be the best thing they ever did."

Reports of Diaz and Madden's relationship first emerged back in 2014. The couple tied the knot the following year.

In a previous interview on SiriusXM show Quarantined with Bruce, Diaz talked about navigating the demands of Hollywood while being a parent.

"I couldn't imagine being a mom now, where I'm at as a mother with my child at her first year, to have to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child," she said. "I wouldn't have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life. I feel for so many mothers who can't, that have to go to work, you know, whatever they're doing. I feel so much for them and for their children and for all of that, but it does really take a village."

Though she did spend nearly a decade out of the spotlight, focusing on her family and her wine brand, Avaline, Diaz has since announced that she will be leaving her retirement to star in Netflix's forthcoming action comedy, Back in Action, alongside Jamie Foxx.

In a recent interview with CBS Mornings, she spoke about how she's preparing to change her lifestyle to go back to acting. "Everybody only has 100 percent, and you always have to figure out how you're going to divide that 100 percent to spread it to all the parts of your life that matter," she said.
