Cameron Diaz And Benji Madden Enjoy Lots Of Healthy Competition

Cameron Diaz didn’t think marriage was in the cards until she met Benji Madden and got hitched to him in 2014.
"It opened me up in different ways,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016. “It's pretty awesome. I didn't think it was something I'd do, and I don't know if I'd have done it if I hadn't met my husband [Benji Madden]. It was a surprise.”

The moon and Mars make things easy.
The moon rules your emotions and home life. And "Benji’s Sun is in a favorable sextile aspect with Cameron’s moon," says Lang. This shows that they have an easy connection, and indicates a feeling of warmth that family is a priority. They have "a similar parenting style," she adds. And that's a biggie, since the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Raddix in 2019.
Now, Benji’s Mars is also in Pisces. Mars is all about ambition and sexual energy. Benji's is 180 degrees from Cameron’s Mars in Virgo, "making this a passionate connection," says Lang. "This indicates chemistry between them, but it can also show differences in their conflict-management style." Benji's more of a go-with-the-flow kind of guy, while Cameron strives for perfection.

Sometimes, between the two artists, they might sense a bit of competition between their energies. Lang assures it can be "well-expressed through the pursuit of shared goals and dreams."
"Theirs is an active relationship, and they need good, healthy outlets for stress. Otherwise, there can be outbursts between them. Playing sports or doing a physical exercise together is a good way to diffuse this energy."
Because of Saturn's position in their charts, this relationship often seems fated. However, that same energy can occasionally make the relationship feel like work for Cameron, says Lang. While the relationship is solid, she's more aware of cracks in the marriage than Benji.
"She might feel like she’s always having to play 'bad cop' when it comes to finances or some of the more practical aspects of their relationship," Lang adds.
They've got staying power.
"On a positive note," says Lang, "Saturn’s influence shows they can create a stable home life for their family and stay committed."
"Theirs is a mystical connection, especially for Benji. The kind of relationship where the connection feels too powerful to walk away, even in the rough times."
Lang points out aspects of the couple's charts that indicate magnetism. Benji's Neptune is located at a great angle from Cameron's Mercury. "This aspect lends a dream-like quality to their connection," Lang says.
