Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden’s Daughter Raddix Is a Typical 'Threenager' in a Rare Outing

Going out to eat with a 3-year-old in tow isn’t easy (really, doing anything in public with a toddler can be challenging), and new photos of Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden’s daughter Raddix proves it. The little girl was spotted in a rare outing with her parents on Sunday, and she was a typical “threenager” in every way.
For the uninitiated, a “threenager” is a 3-year-old with an attitude and behavior of a teenager. And Raddix acted like the very definition of a threenager after breakfast at the Tre Lune restaurant in Montecito, California, on Nov. 19. In pictures obtained by Page Six, the 3-year-old wore all-white, zip-up pajamas with bright red sneakers. Her parents were both dressed in black, with Diaz wearing black joggers, a black button-down shirt, and a black Prada fanny pack with green Birkenstock sandals. Madden wore a black hoodie, black trucker hat, and black pants for the outing. Raddix’s white ‘fit is in itself a bold statement of individuality (either that, or it was just too early, and she didn’t want to get dressed yet).

In one photo, the Charlie’s Angels alum holds a red Spider-Man backpack in one hand and grabs her daughter’s hand with the other. Raddix grabs her mom with both hands, pulling back as if she doesn’t want to leave the restaurant. In a credit to her patience, Diaz is still smiling!
In other photos, Raddix has kicked off her shoes (on the way to the car, as one does) so her dad carries them. Diaz holds her daughter as they make their way to their ride. But she’s not just sweetly holding the little girl on her hip or something — no, she’s carrying her sideways as the little girl squirms in her arms. All parents know the struggle. If you’ve never dragged a resistant (if not outright kicking and screaming!) child out of a restaurant or store or any other public place, consider yourself very, very lucky. Last month, the Bad Teacher star gave a rare update about her home life. In an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Diaz revealed that the Good Charlotte singer makes up tons of kids’ songs for their daughter.
“He makes up — he has, like, honestly, I’m like, ‘Why don’t we just, you need to do like a kids’ album,’ because he has the best songs,” the Avaline Wine founder said about her husband. “They play in my head all the time because he sings them to her, and she knows the words. And it’s the sweetest thing ever. It really is. It’s so, uh, it kills me.”
“He has some bangers, I’m telling you,” she added. “I’m like, ‘Woah, that’s catchy!’”
She may have famous parents, but Raddix is just like any other 3-year-old, and it’s so refreshing to see!
