Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden dropped a big, wonderful bombshell this afternoon: The two recently welcomed a baby girl, Raddix Madden. They announced the news on their Instagrams, explaining that while they are overjoyed, they intend to keep their little girl's life as private and out of the spotlight as possible.

"Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden," Diaz and Madden shared in the joint statement that Diaz posted to her Instagram. "She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family. While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong inclination to protect our little one's privacy. So we won't be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact she is really, really cute!! Some would even say RAD :) From our family to all of yours, we're sending our love and best wishes for a Happy New Year and Happy New Decade..."

The couple opted not to share their little girl's exact birth date or any additional details.

Diaz opened up to InStyle for its September 2019 issue about her marriage to Madden in a very rare interview. The two got married in 2015.

"Getting married to him was the best thing that ever happened to me," she started. "My husband’s the best. He’s the greatest human being, and he’s my great partner. Marriage is certainly hard, and it’s a lot of work. You need somebody who’s willing to do the work with you, because there’s no 60-40 in marriage. It’s 50-50, period. All the time. I don’t know if I was ready [when I got married], but I knew Benji was special. He’s just a good man. There’s no bullshit. It’s really refreshing. I’m really grateful for him."
