After 10 seasons on Hallmark, When Calls the Heart continues to draw in a legion of fans. As the popular series nears a major milestone, Erin Krakow has some thoughts about what viewers can expect to happen next.

In a July interview with TVInsider, the actress and executive producer opened up about When Calls the Heart reaching its monumental 100th episode, premiering August 6. When she spoke with the outlet about what storylines fans may see in it, she explained how the installment will have a slightly different feel than the episodes that precede and follow it.

"It’s just a huge event in Hope Valley," she revealed. "It is a celebration of our community, and we get to see everyone enjoying a special new feature in Hope Valley."

Despite not giving away too many details on the subject, Erin did give fans some room for pause with a few hints on what may happen. Although the 100th storyline will focus on a moment filled with festivities, she reassured people that what happens in the episode will feel very much in line with what folks know from the drama.

"It won’t feel like a departure from our story and it won’t feel like a departure from the way we typically tell stories," she shared. "We didn’t want to divert at all from the stories that we were telling this season. So it will very much feel like a cohesive part of the rest of this season."

Well, call us completely intrigued! But what does this mean for the rest of season 10, and how does the 100th episode change things after almost a decade of being on the air and already working on season 11?

As Erin confided with the outlet, there's still a lot of room for expansion, especially as her character Elizabeth Thatcher, her fiancé Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) and other citizens in Hope Valley endure economic trials and discoveries that could affect the town as a whole.

"We have no shortage of interesting storylines in season 10, which is a real testament to our writers," she added. "We’ve told a lot of stories over the years, but there’s still so much left to tell and they’ve done an incredible job crafting season 10... There’s real drama [and] sweet, funny moments with the kids. It's just a very full, exciting season."
