Ever since When Calls the Heart debuted on Hallmark in January 2014, fans have fallen in love with the story of the citizens living in Hope Valley. Amid characters going through love, heartbreak and evolutions of dear friendships, folks can't get enough of the show, particularly the plots involving Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton (Erin Krakow)'s love life. And the network clearly sees their fans' love of the drama, as When Calls the Heart is already set to air season 11 sometime in 2024.

Alongside the hit series, Hallmark always gave When Calls the Heart viewers a Christmas present via a film airing on Christmas Day. But over the last few years, there was unexpected coal in the stocking, as Hearties never got to see a movie dedicated to the holiday season in Hope Valley. While they were eventually compensated with an additional two episodes being added to later seasons that usually featured just 10 installments, fans have still held out hope that there will be a holiday film featuring Elizabeth, Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally), Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) and others.

So, is there a chance fans can get a When Calls the Heart Christmas film in 2023? Well, we found the answer, and it may just surprise you.

Is there a When Calls the Heart Christmas movie in 2023?

Unfortunately, there will be no When Calls the Heart Christmas movie coming to TV in 2023.

We know this isn't the news fans wanted to hear, but look on the bright side — there are some good things to look forward to next year! We know that new episodes in season 11 are on the way, because Jack Wagner (who portrays Bill Avery) announced in Mid-November that production officially wrapped in a video clip featuring some of his fellow cast members.

"That’s a wrap!!!" he wrote on Instagram on November 14 alongside the snippet.

Naturally, seeing this piece of news excited fans, despite there being no Christmas film in the works. "Love it! Congrats!!! 💜💜💜," one person wrote on Instagram. "Can’t wait to watch Season 11 WCTH ❤️," another exclaimed. "👏👏👏🙌😍 You forgot to sing when it’ll be released 😉 Can’t wait for S11! 🙌❤️," a different follower declared.

Despite the disappointment, it looks like fans are going to get some great content very soon!
