Calling All Artists- Colorado Ski Resort Hosting Art Show Of Locally Painted Snowboards

Monarch Mountain, Colorado took to social media on Wednesday, August 9th, to announce that they're looking for artists to participate in an upcoming art show.

The show features painted snowboards by local artists with 90% of the proceeds going to the artist, and 10% to Salida Council for the Arts. Artists can paint one of their own boards, or pick up a board from Box Of Bubbles Salida while supplies last.

More details below:

Please read the caption for details regarding the show:

"Calling all artists!!

We are once again looking for talented individuals interested in participating in this year’s snowboard art show “Still Riding”

Our rental shop has donated a limited number of retired snowboards to the @salidacouncilforthearts to make this show a reality.

Artists interested in participating can pick up a board from @boxofbubblessalida in downtown Salida while supplies last. Submissions will be due no later than October 27th.

This year 10% of proceeds will be donated to the Salida Council for the Arts and the remaining proceeds go directly to the artist."

This is an excellent opportunity for local artists to participate in a fun show for a good cause. I hope that our readers at Powder Magazine will show up to support.

Start painting those boards and tag us if you share photos to social media of your work. We'd love to see what you make.
