California Shelter Turns To Social Media for Help With Adopting Influx of Dogs

They need our help more than ever.

It is so important now, more than ever, to adopt and not shop. Shelters are getting overrun with so many animals that need homes. They’re reaching capacity and it’s time we give these animals the loving homes they deserve.

One California shelter took to TikTok to spread awareness about what shelters around the world are feeling. This California shelter received 30 dogs in just one day. The influx is really hurting them as they can’t give the animals all the attention they deserve. The video posted to @pleasesavealife outlines what is happening at their shelter and it's truly breaking our hearts.

Ugh, this hurts our hearts so much. We hate seeing animals in a shelter ever, but the fact that they had to set up crates in the hallways shows the reality of what shelters are dealing with. That shouldn't be happening.

“Please adopt, foster, interact. Save a life. Help rescues,” commented @b_eth_13. Yes, to all of that! Even if it feels like you can’t do anything to help, you’d be surprised how a little goes a long way. @kayyla_s added, “I just adopted my baby from here last Saturday. There were so many others I wish I could’ve taken home.” We want to take all of them home with us!

TikTokers are flooding the comments to boost the post and asking how they can help. Hopefully, the power of social media will come through so these fur babies find a loving home soon. If you’d like to donate, foster, or adopt, please contact Inland Valley Humane Society on TikTok @ivhs_spca or visit their website for more information. And remember, you can also help your local shelters as this is happening around the country.
