California Rescue Makes Plea To Find Home for Husky Who’s Been in the Shelter for 2 Years

Many shelters have seen an influx of animals, especially during the holiday season, and some animals have been waiting for their forever home for more than a year.

Animal advocate Chloe Good in California makes a plea to find a forever home for a senior Husky named JoJo, who's been at the shelter for two years waiting to be adopted. Let's take a look!

Aw, this poor baby!

JoJo is 10 years old and ended up in the shelter because her owners surrendered; they didn't have enough time for her.

That being said, some owners may not be prepared to commit to providing enough physical and mental activity for a Husky and may surrender them to shelters.

In addition, Huskies have a strong build, and without proper training and socialization, their strength and size can become challenging for owners to handle, leading to surrenders.

Maybe that's what happened in JoJo's case.

Although Huskies are known to have high energy levels and need regular exercise and mental stimulation, JoJo is actually pretty low-energy for a Husky.

She is still very active and fun to have around, and she would be a great companion to take on hikes.

For a Husky in a shelter, the experience can be particularly stressful. These dogs are often highly social and may find the shelter environment overwhelming.

Poor JoJo; she's been failed a lot by the humans in her life.

As mentioned in the video, JoJo is good with calm dogs and loves kids and people in general. She's also low-maintenance.

Adopting from a shelter not only gives a second chance to a dog but also frees up space for other animals in need.

We hope JoJo will be at her forever home for the holidays!
