There are lots of ways to go about decorating your ugly sweater. You can match ours completely (because is freakin' adorable). Or you can go rogue! The cheesier and weirder the decorations, the better. Just make sure everything is edible. It doesn't matter how beautiful (or ugly) your cake is, at the end of the day, people really want to eat.
We've seen a lot of impressive ugly sweater cakes on the Internet that show off some MAJOR piping skills. This isn't one of those cakes. You only need to pipe a few thick lines to make it clear the cake is supposed to look a sweater. The sweater's design depends on basic, easy-to-find pantry ingredients like candy stars, sprinkles, M&Ms, candy canes, Teddy Grahams (!!!), Rolos, and mini marshmallows.
