Caitlyn Jenner Shares What She Knows About Origin of Kim Kardashian's Infamous Tape

In 2007, when Kim Kardashian's infamous sex tape with Ray J was leaked to the public, Caitlyn Jenner, who was married to Kris Jenner at the time, apparently didn't want to know anything about the situation.

Talking about the incident in Sky's three-part docuseries House of Kardashian, Caitlyn said, "To be honest with you, I just stayed out of it. Kris never talked to me about it. I never talked to Kimberly about it. I don't know what happened, why it happened."

She also shared her first response when she heard the news: "Whatever's going on, I don't know what it is and I'm gonna go to the golf course."

In House of Kardashian, Caitlyn was also asked if she had any idea whether or not the rumors that Kris and Kim did "work together to release" the tape were true, replying, "I have no idea. I never, ever once had that conversation—or did I want to have that conversation."

The infamous tape was leaked just months before the family's first reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, premiered, and the entire situation was addressed in the first episode.

Caitlyn also spoke about her current relationship with Kris in a new interview about House of Kardashian. She told ITV1's This Morning that the former couple aren't in touch anymore: "Well Kris, I really never talk to anymore. If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her and when you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others."

Kris and Caitlyn announced their separation in 2013 and finalized their divorce in 2015, shortly before Caitlyn came out as a transgender woman. The former couple shares biological daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, while Caitlyn was a stepparent to Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, and Robert Kardashian. She also has sons Brody, Brandon, and Burt, and daughter Cassandra with past partners.
