You have to try TiKTok's favorite mosquito-repelling stickers, especially if you're the one who always seems to get bit

No one likes mosquito bites, but I really hate them. A few years ago, I actually realized I was allergic — a mosquito bite on my ankle swelled up so badly, I couldn’t put my sneakers on. Since then, I always keep a travel-sized bug spray in my purse, and I wear it everywhere, from dinner on restaurant patios to walking my dog in the summer evenings. The thing is, bug spray generally doesn’t smell great. It’s sometimes a little sticky, and I feel like I always have to shower before going to bed. That’s why I’m so intrigued by these mosquito-repelling stickers I recently saw on TikTok.

TikTok and Amazon shoppers say they really work.

The BuzzPatch Mosquito Patch Stickers are really popular on TikTok, especially among moms. It’s probably because the stickers come in fun, colorful, smiley-face designs. However, as an adult, I don’t care what the sticker looks like. If it keeps me from getting bit and smelling like bug spray, I’ll wear it.

BuzzPatch has over 5.2 billion views on TikTok, and one mom, @sharon.a.life, put them to the test. On a hike with her family, her husband and kids all wore the patches, but she didn’t. At the end of the hike, she reported in her video that no one else in her family got a mosquito bite except for her — and she got four.

Of course, some people are just more prone to mosquito bites. According to an article from GoodRx written by doctors, the smell your body emits or even your blood type may attract mosquitos more often than others. There’s no telling if this played a factor in @sharon.a.life’s experiment, but Amazon reviewers seem to back up the hype and say that the BuzzPatch stickers really work.

I was so shocked at how great they worked the first time, I waited until I really put them to the test to review,” wrote one Amazon shopper. “It has been raining constantly in CO and we went camping near the water where the weeds were super high the mosquitoes came out in droves. I broke these out and covered everyone, kids and adults, in them and the mosquitoes went away completely. These things work amazing!”

Additionally, Kim Kardashian posted about them on her IG story last year, and no, it wasn’t a sponsored post or paid ad. Since then, the stickers have blown up in popularity.

The BuzzPatch mosquito repellant stickers are plant-based and feature all-natural ingredients like citronella oil. They’re non-toxic and DEET-free. Simply put one on your shirt or your handbag, and go about your day. You can wear multiple if you’re going to be in an especially bug-heavy area. The sticker should work to repel mosquitos instantly and most effectively for up to 8 hours. However, they will continue to work for 24 to 72 hours, according to the product description.

You can get a pack of 60 BuzzPatch stickers for $15 on Amazon. I’m placing my order right now as I type. If they work as well as TikTokers and Amazon reviewers say they do, I’m excited to give them a try. Don’t mind me if you see a few smiley face stickers pressed to my jeans!
