Buzz Aldrin's outfit is everything in photo of last remaining Apollo astronauts
Buzz Aldrin isn't afraid to stand out in a crowd, and a photo of him alongside remaining Apollo astronauts proves that.
Aldrin, 89, sat for a historic photo with seven other Apollo astronauts at the 115th Explorers Club Annual Dinner decked out in an outfit paying homage to his July 20, 1969 moon landing. In a sea of black tuxedoes, Aldrin wore a metallic rocket-ship patterned suit with matching bow tie, stars-and-stripes socks, several gold rings, two watches and a medal around his neck.
After all, what else should a man who landed on the moon wear to an event honoring the 50-year anniversary of the moon landing?

Felix Kunze, who photographed the men at the New York event earlier this month, told Forbes he was shocked he was able to gather every Apollo astronaut in attendance for the image.
"This whole situation really only dawned on me after I had photographed eight of them," he told Forbes.

Aldrin was recently spotted in the same dazzling ensemble at Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix, Arizona, last week.
The former astronaut isn't camera shy. In fact, he likely took the first selfie in space that went up for auction in 2015.
