Netflix’s newest (and hottest) reality show just hit the streamer, and it's bringing everyone another fabulous addition to a niche genre that’s been *super* successful: luxury real estate. Buying Beverly Hills features a group of realtors working at The Agency, a boutique real estate brokerage based in Beverly Hills, and run by famous Real Housewives of Beverly Hills house-husband, Mauricio Umansky. (He’s married to Kyle Richards.)

This cast of characters (erm, agents) features a wild mix of people: Sonika Vaid, an American Idol finalist, Brandon Graves, a former NBA dancer, and of course, Mauricio Umansky, and his two daughters, Farrah and Alexia.

One of the most interesting realtors, however, is Ben Belack. He’s been working in the real estate industry for almost ten years, with six of those years spent at The Agency, where he serves as the Director of Residential Estates and works under his own real estate advisory.

Ahead, learn about the professions Ben took up before becoming a realtor, his relationship, and what his net worth is.

How old is Ben Belack?

He is 42 years old, per Celebs Week.

He’s dating one of his co-workers.

Yep, Ben is in a relationship with his co-worker at The Agency, Amanda York, who is a Los Angeles native. The couple keeps a low profile on social media, but they’ve been together since at least fall of 2020, when they went IG-official, says The Cinemaholic. They have a similar sense of humor and love traveling, in addition to the fact that they share a profession of course, the outlet reports.

He was a psych major in college.

After attending San Diego State University from 1998 to 2001, Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, per his LinkedIn. He worked as a realtor at Teles Properties from 2012 to 2014 before joining The Agency.

Ben tried out a couple of professions before becoming a realtor.

And he uses his developed skills as a service professional to help him in his real estate ventures.

Before he was a realtor, he grew up working in the hospitality industry, becoming a sommelier and working for several Michelin starred restaurants, per his bio on The Agency website.

If that's not enough of a curveball, he also used to be an actor, with credits on IMDb listed from 2003 to today. He had small roles during most of his screen time, but you might have seen him in Jane the Virgin, or Veronica Mars. He also has a producing credit on Pushing Thirty.

He’s a YouTuber.

Ben joined YouTube in September of 2016, which is about as long as he’s worked at The Agency. He has 6.21K subscribers and uploads videos every few months. His videos cover house tours, market updates, other informational real estate videos, and even videos that have nothing to do with his work—like ones about wine tasting and the time he tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies.

Ben has been in the real estate industry for nearly a decade.

And he's accomplished quite a lot in that time. He works throughout the Los Angeles area, from Bel Air to Santa Monica, helping bring in $250 million worth of real estate transactions, per his bio. He focuses on detail, deliberate actions, and serving with empathy in his jobs and has a high-profile list of clients in the entertainment industry.

He has his own real estate advisory.

It’s called the Ben Belack Group, and it's housed under The Agency. The group basically represent properties, helping buyers and sellers through its own team of realtors. They’ve sold half a billion dollars-worth of real estate and are the number 16 ranked group in Beverly Hills, according to the group's website.

Ben has got a bunch of hobbies.

It appears that he loves golfing and traveling, among other things, recently going to Cabo and all over Italy. I’d also like to point out that he has an extremely carefully curated Instagram—like, his grid is so organized that it alternates between personal pics, screenshots of tweets, and videos of houses.

His net worth is…pretty freakin’ high.

So, he’s sold a lot of homes—like, $150 million worth in a year at The Agency, per his words in the show and The Cinemaholic. Because the commission rate is about five percent in California, they assume his net worth is around at least $10 million. Meanwhile, it’s estimated to be around $7.26 million by Celebsweek.
